Anyone ever check out Mexican Banda groups? Some awesome brass and woodwind playing, particularly tuba/sousaphone. Maybe someone from Mexico can comment on great groups or recordings to check out?
I feel like in the states as trumpet players we think only about jazz and orchestral music being the 2 genres of trumpet playing but there is so much out there particularly in Latin American and Eastern European styles with rich trumpet playing. |
