I've written a brief 'info sheet' of my understanding and experience regarding basic embouchure and playing techniques.
If you have comments or concerns, please let me know - either by email (at top of the file) or by discussion in this thread.

(the file was changed to be a regular web page (htm) file, instead of the previous docx filetype - 12/31/2020)
Jay _________________ Most Important Note ? - the next one !
KNOW (see) what the next note is BEFORE you have to play it.
PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'.

Jay your post pretty much agrees with my current thoughts. The biggest things I got from Bobby was that the jaw is primarily helpful in hi range and he showed me a way to build embuchere strength with and without horn. I’ll share that if you’d like but I’ve only had one lesson and I’ve got many questions. You seem very knowledgeable and could probably get more out of time with him than I did, but he’s a wealth of knowledge and can demonstrate in very understandable terms it’s all very reasoned.

I glanced over your paper Jay. Looks like good stuff! I downloaded it and I'll read it in detail later when I have more time (taking the NCLEX board exam tomorrow).
Best wishes,
