|
|
My students' spring break ends this week, so we'll be starting up lessons next week, but electronically. Since that's the plan for the foreseeable future, I'd like to invest in a better mic for myself, as well has have cost-conscious recommendations for my students.
This was reviewed well online:

Also reviewed well, but at little more expensive--but also eligible for Prime delivery:

More portable, cheaper version of the one just above:

And super good reviews on Amazon, but pricey:

I know a number of people that have the Blue Snowball and like it. I have not used one myself. _________________ Bb: Schilke X3L AS SP, Yamaha YTR-6335S

I have started using a Rode NTUSB USB Microphone. They are not cheap as chips junk and do a far better job than onboard hardware.
(Yes, I know Peter freedman, and yes I was involved in one of kid’s education. Frighteningly, I even knew his grandfather who founded the company back in days of valves. the equipment is still good.)
FWIW, they are distributed in the US as well.
Cheers

I find that the Blue Yeti works really well for lessons. Good luck! |

I’ve used a Zoom H5, Shure MV88, and now a Blue Yeti Nano. So far the Nano works best with the lowest level of maintenance. _________________ Andrew Harms, DMA
