Do I have to take a factory tour to tryout horns? Mostly interested in buying a flugel horn.
Do they also have a gift shop?
Anyone know if they are open to the public right now? |

My understanding is it has always been customary to arrange tours through your Bach dealer in advance. They are a factory after all, so keeping out of the way and safety comes first. I’m unaware of a gift shop since my last visit, but I’m sure they’d have something in the way of t-shirts or such. Reach out to your dealer and let them know you are interested in selecting an instrument at the Bach factory would be my suggestion. _________________ James Becker

In October, I arranged a visit through my dealer. I was able to request the models I wanted to try, and for the most part, they were available. There was no tour, though I probably could have if I had wanted. I did not see a gift shop either.
For tryouts, they have a sound proof room, with the available horns available just outside said room for you to try pretty much at your leisure. Because of this, they generally only schedule 1-2 visitors per day, so planning ahead is necessary. _________________ Stephen
