The video is really useful, and both of his books are excellent.

Edit: Scott regularly posts videos on his Facebook page, as well as new exercises that he's written. If you are on Facebook it is well worth following him (Lip Slur World Headquarters and Scott Belck as he posts both places).

That's a very good demonstration of what high range 'clicking and slotting' can sound like. But very little about the mechanics or technique that makes it possible. At about 5:40 he talk about 'figuring it out on your own', followed by mention of air pressure and volume.

It's a good guide to what is possible, but I think most of us need more instruction (teaching) of the playing mechanics that are involved.
If attempted by using extreme mouthpiece pressure, air pressure, or lip stretching, it could cause injury.

Most Important Note ? - the next one !
KNOW (see) what the next note is BEFORE you have to play it.
PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'.

OK ... the video was down for a bit as Scott fixed the volume of his voice on the video ... it is back up now.
