I have too much "stuff." Today, as I was looking through a file drawer of music, I happily discovered a page of notes from a Carmine lesson that I haven't seen in years. Honestly, the exercises are a little different than I remembered.
The exercise began on the C scale, beginning on double pedal C (ascending and descending). Play a scale up to pedal C and return. Next play a two octave scale; next three octaves, next four octaves, and finally double pedal C to double high C.
There were three main directions: 1. rest as long as you play; 2. do not breathe between low C and high C; and 3. continue beginning on B, then Db, then Bb, the D, etc.
Wish I still had those chops.
