Does anybody have any experience with modular, commercial Practice Booths? I am not looking for information on DIY booths, just commercially, pre-fab units.
I live in adult living apartments (Independent Living Facility) and really would like to practice, open horned, in my apartment. The majority of my neighbors are not exactly what you would call, noise tolerant.
I would appreciate any experiences you could share. Thank you. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

I can weigh-in a little: I happen to be the keeper of a whisper room, the same size that's in this video. It's been great for apartment living, my landlord hasn't heard a thing since we moved in 3 years ago. He works out of the office directly below where the module is placed.
They can be a little expensive, here's an example of one on eBay that is the size smaller than I own. https://www.ebay.com/itm/WHISPERROOM-MDL-4242-E-3-5-X-3-5-DOUBLE-WALLS-IN-EXCELLENT-CONDITION/223951795502?hash=item342491352e:g:osAAAOSw9uxedFHC
Also, mine weighs about 600-700 lbs and it takes about 1-2 hours to build. You need a second person.
I hope this helps! Sometimes they can be found in the 2-3 thousand dollar range. It would be worth every penny. |

If you have a walk in closet, the clothes will absorb the sound. _________________ DripLip

The clothes of a walk-in closet absorb some of the sound. Not enough to practice in an apartment building with a bunch of old peole.
Thanks a lot, coraltrpt. That's exactly what I was looking for. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird
