Tried them both for a few minutes and didn't like them as much as I thought I would. Certainly not as much as Charlie Porter does in the demo video running on the Monette site.
As in all things, your mileage may vary.
I put both pieces in the Marketplace at a reduced cost with free shipping. The 6 is already sold. |
I recently ordered a 3. Did not seem to have the immediate fix in the intonation department. This was in my car in a parking lot mind you, as I live in an apartment and usually use a silent brass. But im going to keep it for now and experiment with it for a bit before I decide if "it works" or not. _________________ "I'm 73 and I'm still learning." - Maurice Murphy

If you do most of your playing in a Silent Brass, you will never play in tune. _________________ Kevin |

Curious… do the Tradition Plus mouthpieces gap the same as a regular Monette STC or Resonance? Looks to me like they might have a smaller gap, which might mean they’d be more agreeable with my Schilke…? |

The Tradition Plus series is a limited production mouthpiece series, available in 2,3, and 6 rim sizes.
There is a new Unity B4S, which is one of the best mouthpieces ever made.
