Hello all. I was generously given a gift card to qPress for my birthday. I already own quite a bit of the standard rep you can find on there, so I am wondering if anyone has some fun recommendations or other must haves. Etudes, methods, classical, jazz, whatever. I'm willing to explore.

If you go to the thread Jim Wilt has posted "From the Safety of My Practice Room," many of the etudes are found in books that can be purchased from qPress. Listen through that thread and you might find some valuable material that you can use your gift card on.

Here are a few excellent books worth considering:

Charlier's "36 Etudes Plus" -- the 36 Etudes plus the preparatory etudes that Charlier recommends in the notes all in one large book

Gattermann's "Classical Studies"

Lozano's "Lip Training Exercises"

Broiles' "Studies and Duets I-III"

Motycka's "Modern Method"

Sabarich's "10 Concert and Style Studies"

And look over the impressive collection of books/transcriptions by Erik Veldkamp, as well as Rich Willey's books.

Have fun!
