My guess would be a hybrid bell. Bach tended to use mostly Holton bore sizes, and I dont recall any of them ending in 42 in most Holton literature (actual size, yes, published size, no). 422, 443, 453, 457, 459, 460, 462, 464, 465, 468, 473, and 485 encompass all of the bores Holton used. I think Bach had a couple others while using purchased parts too, but I dont recall a 442. The 42 bell on the other hand has been seen on horns.
