No doubt there are others in your area, but Robb Stewart’s work is among the finest you will find anywhere. www.robbstewart.com and he’s local.

Good luck!

Robb Stewart is great.

Also contact Rich Brannan at Sam Ash. He is an amazing repair tech.

Some years ago it was said that the the holy trinity of Southern California trumpet gurus were the three Bobs.

Bob Reeves for mouthpieces

Bob Malone for trumpet design/modification (last I heard exclusively Yamaha)

Robb (almost Bob) Stewart for repair/restoration/vintage.

I've been to all three.

a little robb history.

around 1983 or so i bought a used 1968 Elkhart LB Bach which i still have and love. robb was working out of his pad in i think reseda. i dropped my horn off to have a saddle put on the first valve so reversing the tubes was necessary.
i found the receipt a few years back. $35 was the total.

the last time i saw robb about 6-7 years ago i took him the receipt and he chuckled saying that'd be about $175 now. we also had a good talk about larry minick another repairman fuoriclasse like robb.
