I just want to make it publicly known:

I think Roger Ingrams lead playing on Harry Connick‘s Blue Light Red Light album is wonderful.

That’s all.

Roger is also a heck of a guy, and I've had the pleasure of playing with him
and taking some lessons too. And I would like to publicly state that his impression of Maynard talking is hysterical. That is all.

I know of another MF alumnus with a killer impression of the boss.

Thank you! That's very nice of you to say! That was a great band, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be there for 20 years. In the words of my dear friend Wayne Bergeron, "that band was a force of nature."

Look for a new album coming out from the Pete Ellman Big Band where I also play all the lead. Pete's band is a local Chicago Big Band that I regularly play on. We recorded in January and I just heard the final master. I'm very pleased. It should be out soon. You know, now there's artwork, packaging, promotion etc to do. But it's gonna be a fun, burnin' ride to listen to!

Stay safe everyone and all the best,
Roger

I consider myself quite lucky as I play in a trumpet quintet with Roger and get to hear him play "legit" stuff. (The quintet is not meeting until this covid stuff is done). I've learned much just be listening to him with his incredible ear and timing. His sound is absolutely amazing.
His Maynard impression is spot on as are some other impressions of the great artists he has performed as their lead trumpet.
He is a terrific guy, too.

Will do! In the meantime, keep an eye on the Roger Ingram Musician/Band page on FB, the Roger Ingram personal profile on FB and the Peter Ellman personal profile on FB.

Thank you for your interest, stay safe and all the best!
Roger

Always loved the Connick albums and Roger's contribution was a big part of that.
