My first serious instrument was viola in elementary school. If you handed me one today, I would have no recollection of how to play it.

I played alto saxophone for several years until I picked up trumpet. I also tried tenor for one semester of high school. I still play alto occasionally, but trumpet is now my primary instrument.

For my senior year in college, we were short on low brass so I picked up baritone for marching band. Being a trumpet player, it wasn't very hard (in treble clef, same pitch and fingerings as Bb trumpet but an octave lower).

I know enough clarinet to be dangerous, and I can make a recorder sound good. I know the keys on piano but that's about it.

and even had a go at a Superbone

I didn't mention it because I put it under the "trombone" umbrella, but I've owned a Superbone since 1985 and have gigged a lot on it. I played it on the Tanglewood Shed stage in 1986.

I was a classically trained violin player in a previous life, and beside trumpet, I also currently play - and enjoy - tenor saxophone.

The OP’s question makes IMO more sense if we rephrase it to: “are there any members here that only play trumpet and not also another instrument?”

My signature shows a few. I concentrated on one instrument a year after retiring, to improve my writing for those instruments. They are fun in concert, too. I've had people do a double-take and say, Wait a minute, the trumpet player took that flute solo?

I don't know how to play anything and it saddens me.
