Chanteuse. Actress. Longtime lover of Miles Davis.

Davis said he never married her because he couldn't put her under the strain of being part of a biracial couple in America.

Not sure Davis had Gréco's measure. This was the 16-year-old girl who got thrown in Fresnes prison for punching a Gestapo officer in the face, and the 54-year old broad who gave a command performance for Gen. Pinochet--with a surprise set list consisting solely of songs he had banned.

RIP, under the sky of Paris. She was how she was.

One of my favorite films is Cocteau's 'Orpheus' and Ms. Greco appears in the film. She has a smallish part as a bohemian/beatnik who is a group of young poets who hang out in the village cafe......

High Dupac,

It seems to me there is also Boris Vian in the movie. Right? As far as I know he played the trumpet in Saint Germain (in le taboo).

Good sight my friend!
