Greetings everyone,

I am asking for information regarding The Harmon Mute Company. I understand that they were acquired by American Way Marketing a number of years ago, but I have found it very difficult to find any of their products available for purchase anywhere. That being said, it appears that they are releasing quite a number of new products in the near future. The Harmon Mute Company page on The American Way Marketing website shows several stock photos with names of products that have not yet been released. Does anyone have any information on these new products? Where can older Harmon products be purchased at? Cascio Interstate Music had a fair selection of Harmon Mutes at one point in time, but they appear to be reorganizing themselves with no promise of carrying the Harmon products anymore. Any information would be most appreciated. I thank you for your time and I hope to help others out who might be wondering the same things.

Amazon, WWBW (and their sister sites), Dillon Music, and others all have Harmon B Model and the Harmon Combo mute in stock.

TrumpetMD, thank you for your reply. I have seen the original models available at these sites. All good mutes, but Harmon in the past five years or so has expanded to also offer french style straight mutes, cup mutes, a pixie, and some various others. Those are the ones I am wondering about. If you see any of these models anywhere please be sure to let me know.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought you were talking about the current offerings. I wasn't aware they were expanding their lineup.

Thank you. I bought several of these "extended" models four years ago. They're such great mutes and I was wanting to buy more of them. All models made in the past five to ten years are still listed on American Way Marketing, and new models have popped up on there in the past couple of months. If I find any more info I'll be sure to let you know.

I just touched base with a fellow who has some information concerning The Harmon Mute Company. They do indeed still have their complete lineup and they are in fact soon to add even more products to that line. That being said, it sounds like we can expect a new website coming in the near future. Hopefully major retailers will stock these newer models. In the past, I have found it difficult to find anything other than a model "B" and a few select student grade mutes on the shelves and websites of any music store. I hope that this thread answers some questions out there. Once the new website is up I will post a link within this thread to tie it all together.
