I know these were made a long time ago, but I am wondering if anyone has played a Francois Millereau trumpet that was in reasonable shape. I am wondering how they compare to Besson and Henri Selmer instruments. |

I think they are great. Millereau was bought by Selmer Paris in 1930. See my Millereau Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Millereau-Paris-trumpets-cornets-flugelhorns-116483676402988/ |

For the mid teens, this horn was not bad

But it certainly was not in the same league as my F.Besson. Though this is theoretically the precursor of the Selmer Paris horns, other than the forward placed valve block, I found very little in common between it and a 38 Selmer Gran Prix - which also has a much fuller tone. _________________ Ron Berndt
