Other than this site and eBay, what are some other good places to look for vintage/used trumpets? Has anyone ever purchased from www.hnwhite.com?

Thanks.

I've dealt with Dillon, Osmun. wwbw.com, Austin Custom Brass, Wichita Band Instrument, and Chuck Levin's all with fair prices, good quality and excellent service.

J Landress Brass in NYC is unparalleled in my experience. Just last week I emailed Josh about possibly trading in a horn for a new Getzen 900 DLX, and he called me to discuss trade-in value, the Getzen, timing, details. Everything was honest and transparent. His shop sent me the Getzen the same day they received my trade-in horn, and it arrived the next day. (He paid for shipping both directions.) They tucked several extra goodies in the case. I couldn't be happier with the whole transaction and recommend them highly.

Highly recommend Josh Landress!! Reverb is also an option, just make sure a
return policy is stated. Facebook also has a trumpet Marketplace which may be
of interest.

Shopgoodwill is a good site for vintage horns. Generally the horns listed are student horns, intermediate, and occasionally professional horns.
The downside is to no return policy, and most need some repair. Many that I bought had stuck slides.

Rich Ita's brassinstrumentworkshop.com and Steve Dillard's horntrader.com both have nice used horns.

Anyone know of shops/stores that primarily deal with 19th century 'vintage' brass instruments: trumpets, cornets, bugles, cornopeans, flugelhorns, saxhorns?

Figured as much. I believe there is an auction site that sell the type instruments and Virtuosity Musical Instruments has a small catalog of "antique brass instruments." Thought perhaps there might be a shop that carries a larger catalog of these types of instruments. 😢

Thank you for your continued support fo the shop. I am really glad you like the Getzen. It is an exceptional, real American made instrument.

Primarily? No. In addition to Josh L., you should talk to Steve Dillon from DILLON MUSIC. He knows alot and is a collector. He also would be able to hook you up with other collectors for what you are looking for which is your best bet for finding something. jw
