Question...
In general, I feel I have a lot of knowledge of Bach mouthpieces.
Been using, and experimenting with them my entire career.
That being said, I came across one in my collection, a Bach Mt. Vernon #1 cornet mouthpiece, stamped with an "0" on the shank.
Throat is a stock 27. Anyone have any idea what this means ?
I've never come across this before..
Thanks in advance !
Bob

O shank Bach pieces were for Olds Cornets. I believe the official name is "American standard" taper, also known as small shank flugel or bach flugel. Does this piece fit into a regular cornet receiver? It should be a little bigger than a normal cornet shank. |

Wow, thanks so much ! I've never heard this.
It does fit in a regular receiver, but I have never compared anything back to back. Guess I'll have to check.... Thanks again, really appreciate the Info !! |
