Thomann FH-1000SL Flugelhorn 615e
Thomann FH-900 JSL JAZZ Bb-Flu B-Stock 444e
Carol Brass CFL-6200-GSS-Bb-SLB 1139e
Yamaha 731 (second hand) 500e
Courtois Paris (second hand) 450e
Couesnon (second hand) 550e
I have 1200e on my account and time enough
I like to play Realbook jazz and fusion on my Getzen Eterna 800s cornet and I want to do that on a bugel because of the warm sound
So many choices, can you give me an idea?
Thanks so much

Seeing that you are in the Netherlands, these are good sources for used instruments:
https://www.gebrauchte-blasinstrumente.eu/
https://www.eppstore-instruments.de/shop
https://www.musik-gillhaus.de/de/Blog
http://www.brassmarket.de/
Also check eBay Kleinanzeigen in Germany, there is loads of flugels available at good prices.
So besides the horns you look at, these sites may have other options.
On your list, I can only comment on the Carol Brass: it is a nice horn, great valves, very comfortable to hold. To me it does not really sound like a flugel, rather like a large cornet. For the music you want to play, this may actually be an asset.
Finally, let me suggest you look into Kühnl and Hoyer horns, they can be had at very good prices and are excellent horns. Highly underrated, a per my personal opinion and also per the German Trompetenforum, where they get very favorable reviews.
Probably not the answer you were expecting but there you have it _________________ 2019 Martin Schmidt eXcellence

If the Yamaha 731 is in good condition -- particularly the valves -- you'd be getting a fine horn for the price. |

Adams has a used Cousenon flügelhorn for sale.
Also, on the local craigslist there's an ACB doubler for sale...they have a very good reputation and this one's pretty decently priced...especially if you consider the import taxes you'd pay when buying it from the USA. |
