Schilke MIIA cornet parts

I recently acquired a Schilke MIIA cornet. It is plays well and is practically pristine, except the valve stems are pitted especially the third. I’d like to replace them, but am not setup what part to order. They are the Yamaha valve block. Also, need new valve guides. Anyone know specs or best way to figure it out?

Hello,
I would start with taking the horn to a a music store with knowledgeable shop staff. Most shops carry Yamaha horns and would be able to get guides and stems. If the can't seem to match parts, call Schilke.

They are '70's Yamaha parts.

Yes. Yamaha valve stems (IIRC like on a ytr-2335) are the right thing. Although the finger button threads are close, you may need to chase with a 8-36 tap to ensure that the Schilke finger buttons thread on correctly. (From what I was told, that is what was done at the factory.)
