At the risk of incurring wrath from you all, does anyone here miss TrumpetMaster? I had a lot of time and effort there building my "house" with positiveness and what I considered to be wisdom. Now that it is gone I have joined here but it's hard to start over from scratch. But I realize that it's not about me now is it? Best Wishes. _________________ Best Wishes

You'll incur no wrath from me -- I miss TrumpetMaster too.
TrumpetBoards is enjoyable, although not nearly as active as this group. It has a bit of the old TM flavor, and a lot of familiar names. You should stop by more often. _________________ Getzen Eterna 700, Eterna 800

I typed in trumpetmaster a day or so ago to see if it had possibly reappeared as mysteriously as it disappeared.
(I never contributed on there since I figure you guys get enough of me on here.) |

I cannot answer to what TM would have meant to me because I was never a member. Forums have not really meant much to me before this long Covid lock-in. The trumpet has always been a hands-on, in-person, passion with me. Just reading or writing about playing did not make sense. However, I kind of wish I had sought out this resource earlier than the past year.
In a short time this site has become a source of invaluable information and assistance to me. Learning how to better 'search' the archives has been of great help. I am humbled by the depth and breadth of talent and knowledge on TH and will continue to return. I just hope what little I can add to a topic will be helpful to someone.
I did join the 'new' TB forum but there is just something about it's format that just does not click for me as well as TH does.
The bottom line for me is that I am just very pleased to have found TH. In my case I guess that makes this past year somewhat productive. Thank you all for your contributions. For me TH has been a great web alternative to Netflix, Prime, etc. I'll never know what I have missed but I can only imagine. |

Can be, though I had a different and not very pleasant experience. |

I've pretty gotten whatever I needed from this board. So no; I don't miss TM.
There was one time, however, that I got some extremely valuable information from Karl Sievers on the board that used to be hosted by Bach before it got destroyed. |
