Looks like it's a soprano bugle... Might be interesting, but most of us wouldn't find much use for it. |

Kessels was very much a major manufacturer in its time, and the instruments were good. For $50 or $70, depending on which part of the listing you believe, it could be a good deal. The overall condition looks good apart from unsurprising stuck valves. _________________ Vintage Olds & Reynolds & Selmers galore

That old cornet is a flugelhorn, I believe. Pretty cool, though _________________ "There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality,

Yes, I'm sorry, I meant that it was a soprano flugelhorn, mixed languages, in French "bugle" means flugelhorn. |

You might find that with a vigorous cleaning it can resurrected. Give special attention to the valves - soak in PB Blaster or Kroil to get them unstuck if needed - same on the tuning slides and valve top/bottom caps if they're stuck, bottle brush cut down to slightly larger than valve bore size and a good scrubbing with dish soap and/or Formula 409 or similar, lots of rinsing.
For $50 it might be a decent horn and unique conversation starter. _________________ Getzen Eterna Severinsen
