|
|
Hello,
I am not sure I'm reading the serial number correctly on this Conn trumpet. Here is the serial number:
If it's 531300, it's a 1955 trumpet. But it really doesn't look that old, and the logo seems more modern. What about the "5" in front of 531300. Is it part of the Serial number?
Thanks for your help!

It appears to be 1995-96 - probably a 22B student ( not the older pro model 22B) trumpet which was very similar to the King 600 and 601. |

maybe it is from 1980-85-Conn jumped with the serial numbers in these years shortly before the UMI takeover. I bougt a new 38b in 1984 with serial 600xxx. _________________ Greatings from Germany

The classic Conns didn’t have that extra # before the serial #. I always look at the bell to leadpipe braces as an easy spotting feature. The newer Conns have the common “S” braces you see on most trumpets, while the classic Conns always have straight braces. _________________ "Brass bands are all very well in their place - outdoors and several miles away ." - Sir Thomas Beecham |

Thank you! Makes more sense. Yes it's a 22b. I didn't know the 22b had changed. Good to know. I'll pass. |
