That's a great point!

Standard mutes fits the bell, so this should not be a problem.

I have the newer (smaller?) Yamaha Silent Brass System for trumpet and it works perfectly in the CarolBrass Mini Pocket Trumpet.

And, yes, the lower register is a bit tricky to play in tune and it takes some work, but you also find creative ways to compensate for it.

Amazon: $480.
Dillons: $355
Everywhere else: $580 and above

Today I try my mini with a Reeves 43WC2J and TADAAAM the perfect match , the little horn plays with a big beautiful sound and great open feel and the most important all the pitch issues are solve.

I like the fact that the Mini (CPT-1000) is *very* small, and fairly inexpensive even for a name-brand pocket trumpet. I am considering a pocket trumpet that will travel inside hard-shell motorcycle luggage, where available space is premium. (Inexpensive, because don't see myself really using a pocket trumpet much except for airline or motorcycle travel, and because I have too many horns already). I am curious if anyone has any experiences to report with the CarolBrass Mini relative to the larger CarolBrass pockets? (Or, maybe the ACB Pocket Doublers?) Is the Mini harder to grip / play, for example?

Here's a look at a Carol CPT-1000-YSS-Bb by Igor Fedorov.
