Hello all.
My late father left me a flügelhorn, but I'm having some trouble with identifying the specific model.

Someone told me it's a 25 or 24F.
All I can tell by the serial and bell marking is that it's conn, 1972:Ä and has some flower symbol on bell where it says conn.

The R-prefix makes it quite probable that it is a 24A Conn flügelhorn not made by Conn but produced in Switzerland by Wilson. If I remember well they are from the early seventies, something like 1971, 1972. I presume they are quite good. There is also a 23A from that period but they seem to have different bracing.
Here is a thread with some information and some pictures:

Really good answer there.
Thank you so much for the information and link to the thread.
I think I can definitly say it is a 24F by the looks of it.

No 24F. Conn used to stamp trumpets with a B like the 22B and the 38B, and cornets with an A, like the 80A or the 36A. Conn made some flügels but in fact they were hybride instruments, something in between a flügel and a cornet. For that reason the flügels of Conn got also an A. So your flügel is a 24A. The 23A and the 24A are not real Conn instruments, they are from the post-Elkhart period, roughly from !971 on.
See: https://cderksen.home.xs4all.nl/index.html
for lots of information.
