I didn’t know that there was a commercial recording of the Tokyo performance of Pictures with Solti!

Our Junior college jazz band was playing a concert in Oak Park Illinois in the mid 70's. I was playing lead and I remember looking out at the crowd and seeing Herseth standing there listening to us.

The chart ended on a high G. In true sophomoric fashion I held the G after the cutoff, trying to impress him. I was such an idiot.
