Thanks!
BTW anrapa is Tony, it’s me, just me and my wife in the shop.

I received my bronze top yesterday from Thompson music and I agree with the post here that says this is a stellar choice. I got a chance to compare it with my Buffalo Horn top and the Buffalo horn is lighter. The bronze is really resonant and looks and feels great on the chops. The silver plated is really cool looking. These mouthpieces imho are the the best mouthpieces ever made. Doesnt mean there arent really good mpcs like the Monettes but I thing the ease of play and the unencumbered sound seperate these pieces. I'm waiting on the brass top from Tony and will report back.

Guys- I am quite happy w/my Curry 8.5* mouthpiece

If you're happy with the Curry, stick with it.

I hear you, but nothing wrong with TRYING a new thing........

I’ve done exactly that; was happy with what I was using, tried something else, now that’s what I use (two different models of GR). As long as you’re an experienced player who understands that there’s no magic equipment out there, I don’t see the harm. Students though? Different story, generally speaking, but definitely not for young 2-3 year players.

I got to tell you though AR mouthpieces are perfect. Tony will go down with Bach imho as one of the great trumpet equip advances in history. My bronze 40Mc 40 m backbore is by far the easiest and seamless mouthpiece I've ever played and the sound is perfect.
