I have a couple of horn carcasses - not worth repairing but hate to just junk them.
What's the most interesting reuse you've seen? _________________ Jim Hatfield

Sculpture. I have a friend who made an elephant out of parts and carcasses. |

The saddest is a lamp. There is something about looking at a dead horn that will never play again that is a bit depressing.
Well, unless it's one of those things that come from India.
Warm regards,

Can you use the parts to make a funky horn that’s playable? 4 valve, 5 valve, valves with trombone slide (think Maynards Firebird), double bell, screw bells, higher or lower pitch, …? I’d also support Grits in that I don’t want trumpet lamps at home. _________________ 2019 Martin Schmidt eXcellence

I've got a couple of carcasses that are utterly unrepairable. I'm thinking of getting a block of some exotic wood to create a base and see what I can create using some of the parts.
