The Pink Panther theme?
I feel like people who have never even heard the word jazz, still recognize that song. _________________ Justin Dickson

Peter Gunn, a big thumbs up!
I kinda just thought it was me and a few old geezers of my ilk, but a big yes for Peter Gunn and the other great Mancini big band charts. My wife and I are long retired and spent June and July taking care of our grandsons at our lake trailer and watching whatever we could find on the Roku almost free stuff. I would tune in for a few hours most evenings for Peter Gunn streaming while the boys played their video games.
I was watching mainly for all the great incidental music in the show, and all in all, the boys didn't complain about adult faire. And most of the guys playing horns were the real deal. Major performers! Best TV music EVER! If you have never watched the series, you owe it to yourself to indulge. It may be that the characters are quite politically incorrect, but it is worth the look! _________________ huntman10

Jim & Andy's
Wait! There's more. A book that tells the story of this legendary tavern.

Are you making some sort of droll joke? If not, you might want to read the original post and some replies before you 'dive in' with a reply based solely on your interpretation of the topic . . .

Droll, indeed.
Think of me as Dizzy in the early days of bebop.
I did read the prior responses. Having known some (MANY) of the most notable trumpet players of the 20th and 21st centuries, I'm under the distinct impression that a sense of humor was key to their approach. "Droll "isn't the first term that comes to mind. Laughter and having a good time always makes trumpet playing at least a tiny bit easier. _________________ Recovering trumpet player. Thanks.
Some funny stuff.
BTW: Back in the dark ages I briefly played a Conn2B. It was a VERY easy blowing horn. _________________ Recovering trumpet player. Protege of Clark Terry and Pauly Cohen. If it's for the general public, I think In The Mood is in a class of its own for an immediately recognizable intro. Sing Sing Sing might be in a similar category, but I don't think anything else would even come close.
