This is another situation where having a teacher helps.

The TR300 does have a third valve slide ring. I suspect that the third valve doesn’t move freely enough for it to be used, but, IMO, pushing out the slide for 1-3 and 1-2-3 valve combinations is preferable to lipping it up.

I also think that learning this from day one and not having to learn to add it later in the learning makes it more natural.

So I've decided to go with a new Yamaha 6335.
A pro-entry-level, sounds great to me and in tune.

Well. <hands on hips> If your post hadn't been trimmed I would have seen which D.
