For a friends birthday, I wish to offer him a concert as a featured soloist.

Any tunes/charts..... come to your mind ?

I wish we could get the Metropole Orchestra's library , like form the album with Bobby Shew, Ack van Rooyen....

What's the small-ensemble orchestration for Alan Hovhaness' "Prayer of St. Gregory"?

I know the full ensemble uses a handful of woodwinds as well as multiple strings, but I used it at my wedding (well, at least one of them) and I think it was just for Solo Trumpet and String Quartet.

Check it out. IMO worth the trouble.
