|
|
To decorate my trumpet gigbag, I added some decorative pins. However, the backings keep getting loose. I've tried to fix them on with superglue but the contact area was too small to make them stick. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep them from getting loose? |

E6000 glue is the answer. It dries clear and sticks to anything short of polished teflon. It's very flexible, yet surprisingly strong. |

That is a great glue. Used a lot for jewelry making.

There are better pin backs available online and at places like biker apparel stores. Harley-Davidson dealers, etc. Just be careful - you might find a new use for your gig back and end up riding home on a new bike, LOL _________________ Stomvi S3 Big Bell -2018

Yep, they are small cylindrical sleeves with a hex wrench to tighten/loosen the set screw. BTW: The Road King is a great mix of handling and ride |

Howdy all,
I lived in western Canada for thirty years. To get the western theme with my gig bag I took my Gard trumpet/countrymen gig bag into the local leather goods and saddlery. I had a couple of ideas for a western style biker gig bag. It was a fun project. I had rivets and conchos installed with leather fringe on the zipper slides. Then I had my name embroidered in frontier script on the shoulder strap.
When I moved back East I felt overdressed and switched to an English leather Reunion Blues bag with matching mute bag. More subtle but classier looking.
If you are getting any kind of metal added to your bag have fun but try getting a shop used to biker or western wear decoration. |
