Does anyone know who's playing trumpet on Ella's recording of "What are You Doing New Years' Eve"? I can't find any info from Google, other that it was recorded in 1960 with an orchestra conducted by Frank DeVol. It is an absolutely beautiful solo played with a wonderful sound. The solo starts at 2:16.

| That will take some digging. I found Don Fagerquist did some work with Ella with Billy May and Nelson Riddle, but no mention of who is playing with DeVol's band. |
