So....I posted to the Marketplace back in April when I first picked up a bunch of vintage horns from my dad's estate.

What a trainwreck.....I never played trumpet up to that point, so I was unfamiliar, didn't have the inventory listed, and was not prepared to receive 100 emails. Hopefully no offense to those I was not able to carry on with.

Since then, I have started playing regularly and love it.
I've listed and sold a handful of horns, but still have plenty...in fact, I'm picking up more of my dad's horns next weekend.

Long story short, I am starting a YouTube channel (Donalds Trumpets Vintage Horns) to honor my dad (Donald) and catalog these horns. The intent is to get videos of the instruments before listing on eBay. There are some rare gems that will be featured such as a Keefer cornet in immaculate condition. If you like vintage horns and are opinionated lol, I'd ask for you to follow my channel. Any suggestions you have are much appreciated.

You can use the below link or search YouTube for Donalds Trumpets Vintage Horns in the YouTube search bar.

I've had a similar experience. The vintage trumpets have a tendency to accumulate (maybe it's hard to part with a really nice horn?)

I went to the link, which appears to be a bunch of videos on various horns. Speaking for myself, I don't have time to watch a bunch of videos to find out about horns and perhaps their price. Along with, I guess, a lot of marketing fluff. If there were a list of horns, along with prices, I might feel differently. There are lots of vintage horns out there for sale, so when I see something that looks like a marketing attempt to juice up prices, I go elsewhere.

Again, not meaning to rain on anyone's parade, but just stating my opinion about it. If you like watching videos of vintage horns, have at it. They look like they are well done vids...

Hi Royjohn.
Your input on the YouTube channel is much appreciated.
I've only been doing this for a few months but fell in love along the way.
It was created specifically to honor my Dad and hopefully any other trumpet enthusiasts. I will also be looking to use it for marketing, but it was an afterthought.
To date, a master list has proven challenging. I've been taking the one horn at a time approach instead.

Thanks again!

A suggestion - watch Trent Austin (Custom Brass) and see how he uses the two mics, one for the horn and one for the speaking.

On yours, bouncing back and forth between the volumes, spoken (soft) and the trumpet (loud), is a real irritation. I think your sales pitch will be greatly enhanced by the listener/viewer leaving their volume settings alone.
