isn't there a hex nut that you can tighten?
my Benge is soldered on but my Bach has the hex bolt
should be fairly easy if you have the right hex key _________________ ron meza (deadbeat jazz musician) & (TH 5 post ghost neighborhood watch ringleader)

My Strads have a set screw in the post the stop rod ends at. (A hex nut is a different animal, especially if you search online )
You may need to loosen it slightly with a hex key, sometimes called an Allen wrench, to insert it back into the post’s hole. Once it is in place you can the tighten the set screw again.
My post assumes the rod itself came loose and that you weren’t saying the nuts came off the end of the rod.
In that case simply start both nuts on the rod. Then grab your nuts and give them a twist in opposite directions. |
