Taylor Chicago 46 Standard – taper query and possibly suitable mouthpieces?
I’m a recent Taylor owner – a treat for surviving my cancer treatment.. all is good
My Taylor mp fits my Taylor, but not my Bach Strad.
My DW mp I’ve used for years with my Strad fits my Taylor, I notice the lack of mass though.
I’ve got the calipers out and with my (probably in engineering standards crude!) measurements I now completly understand why the above happens
1) Does anyone know what the Taylor taper measurement actually is so I can use some sort of standard for comparison– I’m thinking of getting my favourite Strad mp copied to a Taylor fit
2.) Can anyone suggest a high mass range of mps similar to the Taylor style that I could research?

Why you don't contact Taylor directly?

..........Because Andy hasn't been very well recently and to save him stress etc that might, or might not lead to a sale I thought someone on here might know.
I'm led to believe Taylor's are quite popular over the pond ?

| If you like DW, it looks like they make a heavy top mouthpiece. If it's the blank you want, I think ACB and some of the other custom makers have cool slug blanks. Kehaulani offers good advice, but anybody who would copy your mouthpiece could probably measure your mouthpieces and get you what you want. |
