Hi All
I bought Frink's Flexus a week ago and I think it's quite superb.

I started with Flexibility One Nine. Page 22. It was tough. (I have attached a you tube link of Ryan Darke playing this)

I then went to page 106 - low chromatics - fast (so far I have only got speed up to 240) 2nd link provided ) and then back to page 22

I have been astounded how much easier and fuller the high notes are now coming out. I now find I can extend practise time heaps by alternating between the high and low note exercises.

High
at 5 mins 30 - Exercise 9

Low

So thanks to Seymor for recommending the book and to Ryan and Laurie Frink (she must have been an amazing teacher)

Instinct tells me that the ultimate secret to the High Registry is on page 36. What sounds like The Fire Alarm.... this is only the beginning..

No one warned me that learning the trumpet can be this exciting.

Stay safe Steve in Helsinki

Flexus is a great book. Ever since I started my comeback a few years ago, I've built quite the little collection of method books. Flexus is one of the top three most used books for me. The other two are Scott Belk's Modern Flexibilities for Brass and Randall Reyman's The Fundamental Trumpet (Randal has a daily routine laid out in this book that I've been doing for about two months now and have really enjoyed it).

Thanks for posting the videos, I'm am now subscribed to his channel.

Cheers,
John
