This weekend I was informed that my teacher of many years, Dave Evans has passed. Dave credits Jimmy with a lot of the success he had on the horn. Dave also had other high-profile teachers including Claude Gordon but most of what he taught me seemed to come from Stamp.

I'll miss my mentor and friend Dave Evans.
