Specs for this mouthpiece? Anyone?
Found it in my collection the other day. Probably came along with a Getzen 300 series bought long long ago.
Sounds a lot better than my Schilke 143D3 (=rounder, darker, warmer). To my great astonishment. _________________ Cornets:

[quote="Andy Cooper"]Maybe Brent will chime in on this one.
You might find this of interest.

Andy! Thanks a lot. Yes very interesting. And there is a clear difference with respect to my old (very old) Salvation Army number 1.....(a mouthpiece that I had to abandon 1970 since my lips no longer seemed to find a working space).
It sounds great this Getzen 7C but since I am of the curious type it should be interesting to know specs like the diameter. I guess it´s about 16,50mm maybe? How about the bore? etc etc. _________________ Cornets:

Looks like we discussed this about 15 years ago.

I can't find the article, but there is a German city that is know for making quality mouthpieces for other companies - stencils. I'm pretty sure they also made the mouthpieces for UMI - Benge and Conn. Bach size markings but different throats and backbores. These were very nice. |

Thanks again......turned out to be quite a story. Plus some slips by the Moderators. I won´t tell what _________________ Cornets:
