What would be the closest trumpet mouthpiece to a cornet 4B? |

Good question. It does not have any markings on it. |

Sounds like one of the Chinese imitations of a Wick seen on eBay. At least externally they are profiled to look like one. Not really sure if they are at all close to the Wicks in cup and rim dimensions. _________________ huntman10

You have some sort of Denis Wick clone. While DW makes a 4B trumpet mouthpiece, I don't think the rim is the same.
You could probably get by with a Bach 6. Maybe a Yamaha 11C4 or 13C4. While the specs say the Schilke 17D4 is much bigger than the Wick 4B. I think the rim feels much smaller - so maybe. Just be sure to try the 17D4 not the 17D4D.
It would be better to switch to Curry mouthpieces - 5 or 7 series or Warburton 4 series where you could have exactly the same rim contour on both your trumpet and British Band Wick style cornet mouthpiece. There are a lot of cup choices for trumpet with both the Curry and the Warburtons. |

Great advice. Thanks Andy. |

With rando, no maker mouthpieces, who knows? At that point, any theoretical "size" comparisons go out the window because it's likely that your piece is just a piece with a size stamped on it and probably is only passably close to a Wick 4B cornet piece.
Still, others have good suggestions on where to start. _________________ LA Benge 3X Bb Trumpet
