Who is Best Trumpet Repair/Restoration Person In Seattle?
I have gone to Mike Paulson's Brass Masters in the past, but he just had a stroke, and will be out of commission for awhile. He is hoping to get back to work this summer from his home.
I have some issues with my trumpet that need to be addressed now, that involve tolerances on several slides that were replace by another restorer, elsewhere, that shall remain anonymous. One slide will not move, and another moves so easily it falls out!
I need to get it done right, now, for the integrity of my 57 year old "restored" trumpet, and for my sanity.
Thanks for your learned responses _________________ Chuck

these guys made quick work of a '47 Olds Super, even had to hang repairman from ceiling to get tuning slide un-stuck
Paulson did not do well on a '57 Olds Mendez, plus he bad mouthed it because he didn't know Olds had only 1 standard across all trumpets (Kanstul made sure of that) so yes, the valves from an ambassador fit 100% in Mendez; if you wanted loose play like the man himself, it was a factory re-fit |
