Question is about MP3 music.
I want to buy some recordings which will be "delivered" by eMail in MP3 format. What do I have yo do to play the music once I get it?
Stupid, basic question, I know, but a couple of strokes have left me not firing on all cylinders. Thanks for your help. K-- _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

What do you want to play it on? What do you want to hear it on?
There is a lot of software out there that can play MP3s on computers, including excellent freeware.
iPads/iPhones can play MP3s. _________________ LA Benge 3X Bb Trumpet

Just save the MP3 file in a folder on your computer - like in DOCUMENTS / MY MUSIC. If your computer is fairly new (e.g. last 12 years) all you should need to do is double-click on the MP3 file in the folder and it will play.
If you have a computer USB 'memory stick' you can copy the MP3 from your computer onto the stick and play it on a newish TV , and other 'player devices' that have a USB receptacle. The TV remote control probably has a button for 'SELECT INPUT/SOURCE' and the USB should be one of the options. _________________ Most Important Note ? - the next one !
KNOW (see) what the next note is BEFORE you have to play it.
PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'. |

Media players are built into Windows and Mac, but you can download better ones. Better ones do not make that much difference for MP3s, which are compressed files and a bit lossy. _________________ Bb: Schilke X3L AS SP, Yamaha YTR-6335S

Just download any player on your computer, and that’s it. If you use the MP3 format, then every media player is a good option ‘'cause MP3 is used as a media file format by default in almost any program. But if you need to convert MP3 to any other format, then I can recommend you convertr.org. I don’t know any other better service yet and have been using it for three years to convert my tracks for distribution over the internet. I convert MP3 to AAC format as AAC has the same quality with a smaller size, and for this reason, it’s a better option than MP3. Also, you can convert MP3 to WAV, MP3 to FLAC, and so on. |

If you will use computer there is actually basic programm- Windows Media Player which can help you! Or you can download another player, there are multiple choices from official web-sites.
P.S. I would prefer WAV format rather than MP3 because of fullness and clear sound of music track. _________________ Check out my scores: https://musescore.com/sheetmusic

Whatever operating system you're using will have a native media player already installed. When you receive the files, simply click on one you want to hear, and your OS will either play it using the default player, or you'll get a dialogue which will give you options. |

WAV files are generally better quality to MP3 due to the fact that they're basically a lossless file. MP3 isn't. Also, MP3 is compressed. They're an incredibly good file, but not as good as WAV for those reasons. Downside being the file sizes are much larger. |
