I recently purchased a ‘67 Olds Mendez trumpet that appeared to have led a rough life. I had a repair tech who plays in my local community band get it all working with the valves and slides, dent removal, etc. It plays fine. While oiling the valves today I noticed that the 3rd valve piston had one or two tiny dings in the piston surfaces between the ports. The valve works great and doesn’t stick but you can feel the dents with a fingernail. Should I be concerned about this if the valve works and doesn’t stick?

No, and there's nothing to be done about it. It's pretty common on old horns.
As long as it works OK...
