Anyone know who's playing trumpet with the Florida Orchestra this weekend on Mahler 5? It was really solid! I know they have an audition coming up in January. This orchestra keeps getting better and better. |

What happened to Rob Smith? Did he retire? He’s been principal there for decades. Weird that they had a section of subs from other Florida orchestras…. |

Rob Smith is the only name listed in the section on their website. They advertised 2nd and 3rd trumpet open in the latest AFM paper. It would be unreal if the entire section left all at once. |
