Greetings, I've got both the plastic and aluminum Emo solotone in my shopping cart on Thomann Music right now, and I was wondering if anyone has tried either (or both), and has a good idea of how they play.
How are they in relation to the Humes and Berg as well?
Cheers! _________________ Schilke player

I have both the plastic Emo solotone and the Humes and Berg Stone Lined solotone. The intonation is so far off on the Humes and Berg that, for me, it's unusable. The Emo is better. However, the best solotone mute I have played hands down is the Clary wood solotone. The intonation is great and the sound is better than anything I have played. As an added bonus, all of the Clary mutes are beautiful to look at. |
