with the designated shanks for Bach, French, and Yamaha.
Should check with their dealer now!
After the current inventory is gone, they will no longer be made.

Does this mean you will also cease producing French shank mouthpieces? _________________ -Tom Hall-

It means that going forward, all Curry flugelhorn mouthpieces will be made using his universal shank that is designed to fit all flugelhorns (the mouthpiece will just "catch" in a different place for the different receivers).
Is there any downside to the Curry universal shank? |

I don't think there's a real downside to the universal shank.
What's not to love?
Put it in a Bach, then a Couesnon, then a Yamaha, and they all fit pretty well.
Try that with the dedicated French shank and you'll be disappointed 2 times out of 3.

Not that Mark needs backup... but played my first big band gig with the new FLJ last night - love the sound !!! And got to try the mouthpiece on a Taylor Phatt Freddie, a Couesnon, beside my Adams - all fit well and no noticeable tuning or blow issues.
Thanks Mark - awesome work, as usual. _________________ Freelance Performer/Educator

How does it work in a French-style receiver? Does it only go in as far as the tapered section? (The classic French/Couesnon taper is a compound shape consisting of a tapered section followed by a straight section, so . . . ??) _________________ "He that plays the King shall be welcome . . . Actually, it's more like a 10mm tube running about an inch, followed by a brief locking taper, which keeps the mouthpiece snugly n the receiver.

Fair enough -- that is a better description.
I sent you a PM. _________________ "He that plays the King shall be welcome . . . " (Hamlet Act II, Scene 2, Line 1416)
