I recently picked up a horn and would like to have it cleaned. I'm looking for recommendations for shops in the Philadelphia area, preferably in NJ.
I've seen A Minor Tune Up recommended in DE, which isn't horribly far, though still inconvenient. I've also seen in past threads Lenny Zapf at Music & Arts in Pennsauken recommended, but I don't believe there is an M&A in Pennsauken anymore. There is one in Marlton, but I don't know how they function. If they do it on site, send it out, etc.
Recommendations are appreciated. |

If the horn is new to you and you want to be sure it is set up correctly, take it to the best shop you can find. I actually take a vacation day to drive mine up to Jim Becker at Osmun every 18 months or so. Taking the time is worth it. You get a day to recharge and refresh both your horn and yourself. |

I’ll 2nd the vote for Chris at A Minor Tune up. As long as you have a car, Wilmington is a short and easy drive. Make an appointment and Chris can probably do it while you go out to lunch in any of the nice little restaurants in his neighborhood. |
