its good to.see that Cheik is still doing his thing
he was the pianist on Salif Keita's band when i joined the band in 1988
he was also.around when we (Salif's band) recorded Amen.
a record produced by Joe Zawinul
he's a Doyan in the Parisian African music scene as well around the world.
last time i saw him was when he was teamed up with Hank Jones as i recall
he's a good cat
Salif's old bass player (Djenge Doumbe) was on Femi's band for a few years back in the late 90s _________________ ron meza (deadbeat jazz musician) & (TH 5 post ghost neighborhood watch ringleader)
waiting for Fed-Ex to deliver a $50 trumpet to my door. shipping was prepaid by seller of course!
