Since this forum helped me in so many ways as a comeback player (almost 2 months now from a 12 year hiatus), I thought I share with everyone how there is still much I need to improve. And without further ado, here is Rondeau by Purcell:-

Kudos to you! I'm doing something of a comeback myself (although I was still playing a few times a year in church or at home).

Welcome back to playing--I hope you're finding joy in it as I have been!

Martin, congrats on putting together a nice video! To get a good pianist and play a piece like this - kudos to you!

This forum has some very fine trumpeters - and it's share of complete knuckleheads too. I'll leave further comments to others, and there are no doubt those who can through critique help you. I would say I'd like to say more recordings on here from those who comment so frequently. Kind of 'put your money where your mouth is'. And for my YouTube stuff, you merely have to hit the WWW link below. It can be fun to share - and the comments can be enlightening.

Congratulations on your comeback, Martin; for the further effort to record with accompaniment, and for the fortitude to post it here. Again, kudos to you!

Thank you everyone for your comments! It means alot to have genuine feedbacks and words of encouragement from fellow trumpet cohorts. The sense of belonging from you all is truly magnificent

Interestingly though, it's the pianist who's the slave-driver..., she is imposing that I try to do one recording each month So please stay tune haha

Morning everyone, I didn’t want to appear like I was flooding this forum with my recordings so I thought maybe I will update here if that’s okay

So this is my first time trying a flugelhorn and it came out… not TOO out of tune (I hope)

Enjoy!
