What mouthpiece did Mendez use?

Same goes for many of the vintage Bachs. I use a 7C Mt Vernon cornet piece with the "O" Olds size stem and it is nothing like the later version 7C .

By the way, I thought Mr. Mendez used an Olds Mendez #1 after the Mendez model trumpet came out. It was specially made to copy his favorite piece he had been playing for many years.

A bit of an aside, but I see scores of Olds 3 vintage mouthpieces, and a few Mendez 1 & 2's, but I can't recall seeing an Olds 1 or 2 (NOT the Mendez 1 or 2). In the old Olds brochures, the 1 and 2 were present, weren't they, and around .640 size? Specifically referring to the Olds 1939 magazine, linked below.

If anyone has a spare Olds 1 for trumpet, I'd sure be interested.
